Flow2C FAQ – Data Privacy & Metrics Flow
Data Privacy & Security
What data does Flow2C collect?
Flow2C only processes metadata from the GitHub projects you explicitly select. This includes:
- Issue titles
- Timestamps (e.g. created, closed)
- Labels and status indicators
- Project and board assignments
Does Flow2C access private repositories?
Only if you choose to include them. You have full control over which projects are analyzed. Nothing happens without your explicit selection.
How does authentication work?
Flow2C uses GitHub OAuth. That means:
- You log in securely via GitHub
- We access your GitHub username and public email (if available)
- No passwords are stored or handled by Flow2C
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored securely on servers located in the European Union. We do not share your data with third parties, and we never use it for advertising or profiling.
How long is my data retained?
- Your project data is stored as long as your account is active
- After cancellation, all data is automatically deleted within 30 days
- You can request immediate deletion anytime via email or our contact form
Is Flow2C GDPR compliant?
Yes. Flow2C was designed with privacy in mind:
- Minimal data collection
- Transparent processing
- Clear retention policies
- No third-party sharing
Why can’t I see the projects of my company?
Most GitHub Enterprise organizations have restricted access for „OAuth App access“ – which we need to find your project. Ask your admins to add Flow2C to the trusted apps.
Metrics Collection & Progress
When will I see results?
Flow2C starts collecting data immediately after you connect your GitHub account and register your project. Your dashboard updates continuously as your team works — the more activity, the richer your insights.
How is progress visualized?
We show your metrics evolving over time. Early on, you might see:
- “Data is being collected…” messages
- Gradually growing charts
- Historical trends as more data accumulates
Can I manually refresh the data?
No need! Flow2C automatically polls GitHub at regular intervals. Your dashboard stays up to date without any manual effort.
